Our book "Okuvliga" featured at the Swedish Army Museum

November 10, 2024

On November 10, Help in Change had the privilege of participating in the exhibition "Crossroads: Sweden – Ukraine through a 1000 Years" at the Swedish Army Museum. This exhibition explores the long-standing connections between Sweden and Ukraine, showcasing historical objects and documents that tell the story of their shared history—from the Viking Age to the present.

At the event, we presented "Okuvliga", a collection of stories by Ukrainians who have sought refuge in Sweden due to the war. Written by Oksana Basta and Anna Zoteeva, the book tells the experiences of people whose lives were transformed by the war. We were especially happy that Oksana could join us and speak with visitors.

The book aroused great interest, and we were very pleased to communicate with both visitors and our Ukrainian friends who came on the tour. It was wonderful to see the interest and support from everyone.

We are truly thankful to Swedish Army Museum for inviting us and for creating an exhibition that helps build understanding of the deep ties between Sweden and Ukraine. Special thanks to Helene Rånlund, Fabian Arnheim, Jessica Christensen, and Susanne for their help and support, which made the event possible. Their efforts meant so much to us and to everyone involved.
